Police officer killed in crash on Taconic State Parkway
East Fishkill police say that just after 6 p.m., the officer's car left the roadway and hit a tree.

A crash on the Taconic State Parkway killed an officer in Dutchess County on Monday evening, according to officials.
There were closures on the southbound lanes along the parkway near Mile Marker 37.

The officer was taken to Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital where they later died, according to police.
Authorities say the crash happened as the officer was on their way to the hospital, where a victim was transported in relation to a separate crash earlier.
