Officials in Westchester County and the Hudson Valley are preparing for potential power outages and flooding from Sunday evening’s rainy weather.

Orange and Rockland Utilities say they are preparing its emergency response workforce to repair any possible damage and restore power if needed.

The company says line crews, tree removal experts, customer service operators and other members of the response team will be ready to respond Sunday afternoon.

To report a downed wire or a power outage, residents can call 877-434-4100.

A Mamaroneck Village Trustee also told News 12 that staff is on standby and the village manager will decide if and when emergency operations will need to be activated.

Greenburgh officials say they will be checking drains and clearing any areas that flood.

Residents usually cannot park overnight on residential streets in the area during the start of December. However, News 12 is told residents will be allowed to park on the streets that do not usually flood Sunday night.
