Alleged home violations were found at a Stony Point home during a fire call Friday afternoon.

News 12 was at the home at 32 Route 210, also known as Central Drive.

The town supervisor learned that the basement has an alleged illegal conversion with a closet being used as a bedroom.

There also appeared to be electrical work done and a wall put up without permits.

The home has since been vacated for safety reasons and violations are expected to be issued to the owner.

A fire official said the fire appears to have started in the living room.
