Here are some stories making headlines across the Hudson Valley.

An off-duty NYPD officer was shot in the arm near Tompkins Avenue and Railroad Avenue in Yonkers on Tuesday morning. Detectives are actively investigating the incident and seeking public assistance. According to investigators, the suspect fired multiple rounds at the officer while he was in his car before fleeing the scene. Anyone with information is urged to contact 914-377-7725 or text a tip to 274637 (CRIMES). Callers can remain anonymous.

Twenty-eight individuals are facing charges following a significant crackdown on the "Young Gunnaz Gang" in Orange County. U.S. attorneys revealed that the gang was involved in drug trafficking, fraudulent schemes, and targeted shootings of rival gang members across the state, with many crimes concentrated in Newburgh and Poughkeepsie. Some charges carry sentences of 20 years to life in prison.

The Mamaroneck Convenience Store, previously caught selling illegal products, has been shut down. The closure came after an arrest related to the unlawful sale of cannabis. The Village of Mamaroneck Police Department confiscated the illegal items.
