And take a look at what else we can expect for the rest of this evening, heading into the overnight and even for our Monday morning. Well, if you are just tuning in, we are having a flood watch in effect that has been extended until Monday afternoon at 1 p.m. For all of the lower Hudson valleys, we are gonna be expecting heavy batches of rain continuing for us overnight into our Monday morning. So here's a breakdown of what we're looking at from overnight into Monday morning in itself. Our flood watch is because we were looking at rain to be falling within a short amount of time, close to two inches of rainfall for the vast majority of the lower Hudson Valley areas just closer towards the Sound, might even be near around three inches of rainfall when everything is all said and done. Now, the rain is just one half of the story because now we're looking at winds to start to pick up at gusts between 30 to 40 MPH that could be bringing in some isolated power outages or even down some old trees that are in over saturated soil as we get into the aggressive tonight. So it's one thing to be vigilant of and also be mindful of throughout the rest of tonight as we go into our Monday morning. So this is what's going on for us as of right now. From our service map, we have this low pressure system. Well, the storm system in itself has an abundance of moisture and on top of it, strong winds as it continues to move north and east. Now, those windy conditions haven't really been impacting the lower Hudson Valley much throughout today. But we are looking for that to start to pick up as we get into the rest of the overnight. So as of right now, we're still monitoring some showers starting to move its way into Orange County and parts of northern areas of Rockland County. Now, as we get into about the next couple of hours, it's gonna be a lot more widespread and we will start to see some of that heavy rainfall starting to pick up as well. And so how much rain has fallen? Hasn't been anything significant so far, it's really just been a rainy and cloudy day for us across the lower Hudson Valley. But as we can see throughout the rest of tonight, we are gonna be expecting not just more rain but a lot of it within a short time period, especially once we get closer to around nine o'clock. So just after dinner, we're gonna be seeing especially for Yonkers, a lot more rains be consistent throughout the rest of tonight. Heading into our Monday morning. So between 8 to 10 o'clock is when we're expected to see that widespread, not only heavy but also just stronger winds picking up for us as we get throughout the rest of tonight. But as we transition into our early Monday morning, we are looking for some colder air to sweep its way through which will be transitioning some rain for the northern areas of Ulster and Dutchess County to start to see a wintry mix developing by the time we get into our Monday morning. So it won't just be a rain issue but also very slick conditions heading into our Monday morning as we're heading out the door. But taking a look at how much rain we are expecting closer to two inches is what we're gonna be expecting for almost everyone. However, towards the southern areas of West Chester County, we are looking for maybe just about an inch, a little bit more. However, areas like New City and West Point would be closer to that two inch mark, but really what we're gonna be monitoring again is not only going to be the rain but the winds themselves as they're gonna really pick up, especially once it begins all their parts of tonight and heading into the overnight. Now, a quick look at our 10 day forecast once we're done with Monday morning's events from the rain and breezy conditions. It will stay breezy through Monday afternoon, but we're clearing up throughout the rest of the week.
