The Niagara University women's basketball team, including two players from Westchester, is now back on campus after getting stranded on a bus in a massive blizzard in Buffalo.
Danisha Watson, of Mount Vernon, and Tiffany Corselli, of Yonkers, were with their team heading back to campus Monday night when their bus got stuck on the highway in the snow.
Watson says they eventually ran out of food and water, but they had a bathroom and the bus was heated. They were able to keep in touch with family and friends with their phones. The team was stranded for 30 hours before state police managed to rescue them.
The city was blanketed in almost 6 feet of snow in some areas and at least seven deaths are now being reported. Forecasts call for even more snow to fall this week.
