Two high school students have admitted to their role in a deadly off-campus stabbing in New Rochelle.
Dominique Slack and Carl Booker each pleaded guilty to first-degree stalking Friday. The 18-year-olds were part of a group of teens who attacked Valaree Schwab, 16, in January.
The attack happened on North Avenue near a Subway restaurant.
Prosecutors say someone stole Schwab's houses keys during a fight. They say when she tried to get her keys back at a nearby Dunkin' Donuts, she was stabbed to death.
Z'inah Brown has been charged with Schwab's murder.
Sentencing for Slack and Booker is scheduled for Jan. 25 and Feb. 22.
New Rochelle schools released a statement Friday, saying, "We cannot comment on the cases of individual students or former students, yet I want to note that we have implemented several new safety measures at New Rochelle High School since early this calendar year ... The school is being strictly operated as a closed campus. The safety of our students and staff is our top priority."
As News 12 reported, the stabbing was one of three attacks in a matter of days involving New Rochelle High School students.
