2 New Rochelle men arrested in connection with death of 20-year-old

Police detectives and members of the FBI Westchester Safe Streets Task Force arrested two New Rochelle men Tuesday in connection with the death of 20-year-old Aaliyah Waiters on Sept. 25.

Police detectives and members of the FBI Westchester Safe Streets Task Force arrested two New Rochelle men Tuesday in connection with the death of 20-year-old Aaliyah Waiters on Sept. 25.
The suspects have been identified as 21-year-old Laquan Jones and 20-year-old Tyquan Carcamo, both of New Rochelle.
Waiters was fatally shot as she stood with a group in front of 237 South Third Ave.
When officers arrived, they found Waiters suffering from a gunshot wound in the head.
She was transported to Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx where she died.
Jones and Carcamo were arraigned in Mount Vernon City Court on second-degree murder charges and remanded to the Westchester County Jail.
