Police in Mount Vernon are investigating a shooting that injured two men on East Third Street and Farrell Avenue.
They say the incident occurred Thursday at around 3 p.m., just as students were getting out of school.
Police say the victims, ages 20 and 21, were shot in the ankle and wrist.
They say ShotSpotter activation was used. Police say once a gunshot is fired, the ShotSpotter technology can help track the location of where the shooting occurred.
Police are still searching for the suspect who they say drove up next to the victims and asked, "Do you remember last week." Police believe the shooting is gang-related.
