Two men were arrested Monday after allegedly attempting to steal copper from an abandoned building in Cortlandt.
Police say 32-year-old Morgan Friend, of Mohegan Lake, and 31-year-old Kevin Singleton, of Cortlandt, were charged with burglary.
Troopers were called to Toddville School after reports of noise coming from inside the building.
The two suspects were caught at the scene.
