A Long Island couple pleaded guilty Tuesday to killing and dismembering a couple from Yonkers.
Jeffrey Mackey, 40, and Alexis Nieves, 35, both of Amityville, pleaded guilty to the February 2024 deaths of Malcolm Brown and Donna Conneely, whose remains were found scattered across Long Island.
Mackey pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree murder. Under a plea agreement, he will be sentenced to 22 years in prison and five years of post-release supervision, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office.
Nieves pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter and will be sentenced to 11 years in prison and five years post-release supervision, the DA's office says.
Two others - Amanda Wallace and Steven Brown - previously pleaded guilty to disposing of the remains of the victims in this case. The victims' remains were found in Babylon, West Babylon and Bethpage State Park.
Mackey and Nieves are set to be sentenced on Jan. 13.
