Icy weather caused two fatal car crashes within hours of each other in the Hudson Valley today.
The first accident took place on Mount Hope Road in Wallkill, where two cars collided. Police say 22-year-old Zhangbian Tian, of Middletown, was killed and three others were hospitalized. 
The other crash happened on State Route 94 in Chester at around 10 a.m. According to police, a 32-year-old man from the village of Florida apparently lost control of his car on the ice and slammed into a utility pole. Route 94 was closed for about two hours.
The name of the second victim killed has not been released.
