Gov. Kathy Hochul is advocating for the addition of two Hudson Valley properties to the state and national registers of historic places.
One of the nominated properties is the St. Joseph's Parish Complex in Kingston, which has roots dating back to the 1860s. This complex holds significant historical value and is a testament to the rich heritage of the region.
Additionally, the Wallace Company Department Store in Poughkeepsie is also among the nominations. This nineteenth-century department store carries historical significance, reflecting the architectural and commercial landscape of its time.
