? Overcast skies didn?t stop hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers from turning out for the 18th annual Puerto Rican Day parade on the Grand Concourse Sunday.
Bronx residents and people from other boroughs and cities marched to show their pride. Participants ranged in age, race and ethnic backgrounds. However, they all say celebrating Puerto Rican heritage and having fun united them. Many also enjoyed traditional food and music.
This year?s parade theme was ?Las Raices de Puerto Rico,? which translates to ?Our Puerto Rican Roots.?
