An 18-year-old's campaign for a position on the Ossining Town Board is being derailed by allegations of fraud.
Local Democrats including Thomasina Laidley Brown took Aaron Spring to court, accusing him of campaign fraud.
County Supreme Court Judge Lester Adler ruled that Spring committed fraud because the judge did not believe his mother was with him as he was collecting signatures, and he was still 17 years old.
Brown, the chairperson of the Ossining Democratic Club, says that getting Spring kicked off the ballot was not personal, but was intended to teach the incoming Fordham University freshman a valuable life lesson: follow the rules.
The judge knocked Spring off the Republican ticket, but he is now running on the conservative line.
