Eighteen people, including three children, were left homeless after a large basement fire in Mount Vernon Saturday night.
It started just after midnight on Haven Avenue.
News 12 is told the Red Cross is providing assistance to the 15 adults and three children displaced by the fire.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
