More than 1,000 people came out to the 15th annual Go the Distance Walk in Valhalla Saturday to support children’s health care across the region.
It's more than just a 1-mile walk, it's also a family fun day with plenty of games and activities geared for children.
Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital is hoping to raise more than $200,000 to support advanced pediatric services at the hospital.
The ambassador for this year's walk was 7-year-old Gio Toribio. Toribio was diagnosed with lymphoma at 4 years old and is now cancer-free.
