A Yorktown woman has been arrested and charged with assault following an alleged domestic incident on Christmas Eve.

According to police, the incident occurred at a home on Summit Street, where the victim was found bleeding from the back of the neck upon arrival.

Jenny Cuevas, 43, is accused of grabbing a kitchen knife and stabbing the victim during an argument.

She is also alleged to have kicked a bathroom door, causing damage to the door frame.

Cuevas was arrested at the scene and later arraigned, being released on her own recognizance.
