Yonkers elementary school students walked today to raise money for children with cancer.
About 500 students at Paideia School 15 in Yonkers laced up their sneakers for the second annual walk to support The Ronald McDonald House. The charity provides a home away from home for children with cancer and their families.
Last year, the walk raised $13,000 and this year, organizers were looking to raise $20,000.
After the fundraiser, the students and their families were headed to the schools' carnival. All money raised from the ring toss will go to the charity as well.
