Hundreds of local elementary school students walked Friday morning to raise money for a good cause.
The students, from The Charter School of Educational Excellence in Yonkers, walked a mile to Trevor Park to raise money for The March of Dimes.
The March of Dimes funds research that will help prevent premature birth, infant mortality and birth defects.
So far, the students have already raised $2,000, double what they raised last year.
