Police in Yonkers are investigating the discovery of a woman?s body inside a Laundromat Monday.

Police are not releasing the woman?s identity, but neighbors say she was Dominican and likely in her 30s. They say she lived across the street from the Laundromat on Hawthorne Avenue and worked there part time.

Speculation about the woman?s death swirled. One neighbor says he heard her boyfriend was involved, while another said she heard that a man followed the victim into the bathroom of the Laundromat and strangled her.

Witnesses say police arrived on the scene around 11 a.m. and looked over every inch of the building for clues. It is unclear if the woman died Monday morning or earlier.
