The Yonkers police treated the special education students from Yonkers public schools to an annual picnic at Kingsland Point Park in Sleepy Hollow.
Students got to try on uniforms, play with police dogs and check out a remote-controlled robot used to remove and dispose of bombs.
The picnic was a part of several Police Week activities sponsored by the Captains, Lieutenants and Sergeants Association and the Police Benevolent Association.
This event is in its 24th year.
