Marcellino's Pizzeria and Midland Avenue Pizza are showing their appreciation for front line workers with free meals.
The small businesses are delivering dozens of pizza and trays of pasta to workers at St. John’s Riverside Hospital, despite losing funds.
"To see their dollars decline but yet be willing to go to dig a little deeper in their own pockets and to do something for the community, that says a lot about the community,” says Mayor Mike Spano.
The city of Yonkers has over 3,000 confirmed coronavirus cases, currently the highest total in Westchester County.
