Catholics from Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Yonkers said goodbye to a beloved pillar of their community on Sunday.
Father Terzio Vinci, 82, died on Thursday after a long illness.
A wake was Sunday at the church he called home for 30 years.
He was also a police chaplain for many years.
A funeral for Vinci is expected to be held on Tuesday.
