Yonkers mourns Taconic crash victims
Dozens of family members, neighbors, and friends gathered in Yonkers Thursday to mourn the three Westchester victims of Sunday's Taconic State Parkway car crash.
Michael Bastardi, 81, and his son Guy, 49, were remembered at the Flynn Memorial funeral home on Central Park Avenue. Their friend, Dan Longo, was also killed in the accident that killed eight people Sunday. Diane Schuler of Long Island hit their car head on, driving in the wrong direction.
The family's pastor says Guy Bastardi and Dan Longo listened to his sermon at Saint John the Baptist church hours before the tragedy.
Family and friends say they are praying for the victims, and many claim they will forgive.
