Yonkers man found guilty of murder in connection to 2020 shooting

District Attorney Mimi Rocah's office announced after a four-week trial that 30-year-old Terrence Gonzalez was found guilty on Wednesday for the death of 23-year-old Lateef Butler.

A jury has found a Yonkers man guilty of murder in connection to a shooting in 2020.  
District Attorney Mimi Rocah's office announced after a four-week trial that 30-year-old Terrence Gonzalez was found guilty on Wednesday for the death of 23-year-old Lateef Butler.
According to police, the shooting took place outside a Yonkers apartment building on Nepperhan Avenue where they both lived.  
After the shooting in June, Yonkers police arrested Gonzalez in the Saw Mill River after a police chase. 
Gonzalez faces a sentence of 15 to 25 years to life in a state prison.  
He is scheduled to be sentenced in mid-February.
