A Yonkers man has been arrested in connection with the stabbing of a 19-year-old man in Yonkers last Wednesday.

Police say Michael Thomas, 29, also known as Laquann L. Smith, is being charged with attempted murder after stabbing the victim in the chest during a robbery.

The victim wash rushed to the hospital but is expected to recover from his injuries.

According to police, the stabbing near Linden Street was part of a night of violence in Yonkers, in which a man was shot nearby just an hour before. It is not known if the two incidents were connected.
