Yonkers lifeguard laid to rest
Friends and family paid their final respects to John Crimmins at the Immaculate Conception Church in Tuckahoe Thursday.
Crimmins, 22, drowned over the Fourth of July weekend after he suffered a seizure in the water at the Jersey Shore.
Crimmins was a lifeguard at Lake Isle Country Club in Eastchester and the stepson of Yonkers Schools Superintendent Michael Yazurlo.
He was an avid swimmer and had even participated in Swim Across America to raise money for cancer research in his uncle's honor.
