Yonkers Inspector General Brendan McGrath believes Xerox tech employees were using the city and its printing shop for their own personal gain.

A probe into the fraud allegations began after the manager of the printing shop on Fullerton Avenue noticed that expensive printer parts were being delivered, but not being installed. 

"They ordered parts…they knew wouldn't send off a signal, but they could still use in their own private businesses," says McGrath. 

The printing shop is responsible for printing millions of forms for police, the city and schools. 

McGrath says Xerox has been notified about the allegations. The printing shop has since changed protocol to make sure they can keep a better eye on deliveries. 

The inspector general says the allegation serves as a reminder that if you see something suspicious, say something. 

"That's how we get most of our tips and that's what leads to most of our real big cases," says McGrath.
