A Yonkers hospital and six other New York hospitals are being sued by the state in an alleged $50 million Medicaid kickback scheme.
According to the suit, Saint Joseph's Medical Center and the other New York-area hospitals paid kickbacks to get detox patients into their drug-treatment centers - a service the state says they weren't licensed to provide.
The hospitals then allegedly billed Medicaid for more than $50 million.
