A caretaker of a Yonkers cemetery stumbled on a bizarre religious ritual near some toppled headstones.

The caretaker, Stanley Feciaszko, was walking with his girlfriend at St. John's Cemetery Tuesday around 6:30 p.m. Feciaszko saw toppled headstones, and then came upon a strange scene. Feciaszko says he found candles, an animal heart, hollowed-out fruit, statues and a photograph of an unknown man. When Feciaszko ran to get his cell phone, his girlfriend was confronted by what she thinks were two men and a woman, who then ran off.

Police say they gathered evidence of a ritual. They found a fake chicken, a pair of underwear and a red scarf, buried in the ground. Police say they are trying to figure out the significance of ritual.
