The Palisade Prep School will be officially renamed the Barack Obama School for Social Justice on Thursday.

The Yonkers Board of Education has a long history of naming and renaming schools after individuals who are outstanding role models to inspire students.
Construction on the Justice Sonia Sotomayor Community School is still underway. It is expected to be ready in time for the 2023-24 school year.
