YMCA director returns day after leave begins
The embattled executive director of the Yonkers YMCA returned to the building one day after taking a paid leave of absence.
Greg du Sablon returned to teach swimming lessons Friday night when only a day earlier he was temporarily relieved of administrative duties. Du Sablon told News 12 New Jersey that he was filling in for an instructor who called in sick.
DuSablon has been accused of defrauding the YMCA and improper spending.
The probe into du Sablon?s alleged misdealings centers on financial matters and has nothing to do with the children?s programs, according to Jeffrey Buss, the YMCA Board?s special counselor and spokesman.
Investigators from the Westchester District Attorney?s Office continued raiding du Sablon?s office Friday. News 12 Westchester also spotted du Sablon in his office, but it is not clear what he was doing.
According to Buss, the agency seized piles of important documents from the office. Buss also says the board has not been instructed to bar du Sablon from the room.
