The Department of Environmental Protection descended on Jerome Park Reservoir Sunday to conduct an emergency drill.
Loud alarms filled the air as emergency workers simulated a response to a chlorine spill. As part of the drill, non-emergency vehicles were blocked off from certain streets.
Local residents say the DEP did a good job informing them about what was taking place, though they hoped officials had reached out to non-English-speaking residents as well.
