The cause of a reported explosion in Orange County Tuesday night remains a mystery.
Woodbury fire officials say they got a 911 call of an explosion and a bonfire near the Harriman Auto Mall on Route 17M around 9:30 p.m.
People also posted on social media feeling the explosion from miles away.
Authorities say they found several people at a bonfire nearby and suspect a combustible of some sort may have been thrown in. They say the group was uncooperative with their investigation and no proof was found.
