A woman in the Town of Ulster was seriously injured on Tuesday after police say she was hit by a Ford pickup truck while walking in the area of Morton Boulevard.

Town of Ulster police say the pedestrian, Lisa Munson, was taken to the hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening. They say the pickup truck was driven by Timothy Farrell.

News 12 learned of the incident after receiving a tip from a viewer, who sent a photo of the police response.

Police say the driver remained on scene, and that the incident remains under investigation.
