A woman was injured when a piece of concrete smashed through her windshield while driving on I-95 in Larchmont.
The incident occurred Saturday on the northbound side of I-95 under the Chatworth Avenue Overpass.
Myra Flores, of Stamford, Connecticut, nearly lost her eye and required 15 stitches when the concrete struck her in the face. She says that she is thankful that her children were not in the car at the time.
News 12 spoke with the New York State Thruway Authority about the incident. The agency said that the site was surveyed, but no issues were spotted. State police did confirm that a slab of concrete is missing from the bridge.
Thruway Authority officials say they will be heading back to the overpass to further investigate.
