A private school in White Plains is mourning the tragic loss of three students who died in a Christmas Day house fire in Stamford, Conn. alongside their grandparents.

Lily Badger, 10, and 7-year-old twins, Grace and Sarah Badger, all went to the Windward School's lower campus. They traveled each day from their Stamford home to the school in White Plains.

"It's just unspeakable tragedy and we are all terribly, terribly upset by this horrible news," says Windward School Headmaster John Russell.

Today, faculty and staff took time from their winter break to come together at the school and offer moral support to one another.

While the tragedy happened in Connecticut, the news quickly spread in White Plains, leaving people shocked. White Plains Mayor Thomas Roach issued a statement to the victims' family, offering condolences and prayers.

When students return to the Windward School next week, they'll be meeting with grief counselors to help them deal with the loss.
