The son of a White Plains man shot and killed by police last month has renewed his call for a private investigation of the shooting. According to police, Kenneth Chamberlain, Sr., 68, attempted to stab an officer at his apartment on Nov. 19. Police say they were responding to his "Life Alert" alarm call, when he allegedly attacked them. The victim's son says his father was taking several medications at the time of his death, but that none ever prompted him to become violent. "I'm not understanding how my father lost his life, when they were supposedly responding to a medical emergency," says Kenneth Chamberlain, Jr. As part of the independent investigation, the family's attorney says he is seeking access to video and audio recordings of the incident. Chamberlain, Sr., a U.S. Marine, was buried Monday with military honors in Mount Vernon. Funeral held for White Plains man shot by policeOfficer fatally shoots hatchet-wielding man
