White Plains hosts annual fireworks display
White Plains did not wait until the Fourth of July to celebrate the holiday.
Thousands of people gathered at White Plains High School Friday night for the annual Fourth of July Family Fun Day. The event included a bubble bus, a world freestyle frisbee champ and a band.
The field was evacuated for a short time as a thunderstorm rolled its way in, but the festivities continued afterward.
Organizers say about 10,000 people attended the event.
They say the finale included a ton of colorful fireworks.
