The White House's Coronavirus Task Force will hold its first public briefing in two months.
Members like Dr. Anthony Fauci and Dr. Deborah Birx have become the public faces of the pandemic during daily briefings, but earlier this week Dr. Fauci told the emergency committee he hasn't spoken to the president in over two weeks.
It's not clear if Fauci will be at today's briefing.
The remarks will come at a time when new COVID-19 cases are increasing in at least 30 states.
