Westchester workers toil in boiling temps
Those who have to work outside Tuesday are facing a real scorcher as the mercury climbs higher.
Many people are staying indoors and running their air conditioners to keep cool. However, some don?t have that option. Crews relocating an electrical power line in White Plains must work outside in the sweltering heat. Workers say they drink plenty of water and take frequent breaks to beat the heat.
With the extreme heat also comes an air quality alert. The elderly, children and people with asthma or other respiratory diseases are most at risk with poor air quality. Those individuals are urged to stay indoors.Related Information Westchester Weather
