The largest union representing Westchester County workers says County Executive Rob Astorino isn't being honest about his demand for concessions.

Union leaders say they can't respond to the so-called Jobs for Savings proposal by Astorino (R-Westchester) because he's never formally presented it to them.

Members of the Civil Service Employees Association gathered outside the County Office Building in White Plains today to voice their concerns over demands by Astorino that they pick up some of their health insurance costs.

Astorino has said that having county workers absorb part of the cost of health insurance would save the county $19 million and eliminate the need for layoffs.
