A Westchester trainer snagged a spot on an upcoming sports competition show, airing on NBC.

Amber Jo Salamone is a trainer at Prescriptions for Fitness in Chappaqua, but the New Castle resident is taking on a new challenge as a cast member on the reality sports show "Spartan: Ultimate Team Challenge."

"I was full of emotion, I was excited, I was nervous, I was scared. I didn't know what to expect, but it's an opportunity and you only live once so [you] gotta take it," she says.

Salamone premieres on "Spartan: Ultimate Team Challenge" Monday at 10 p.m. on NBC.
