Severe weather swept through Westchester and the Hudson Valley again Friday night, washing away roads and leaving thousands more without power.
Officials say an additional 7,000 Con Ed customers, on top of 2,000 from Tuesday?s storm, are in the dark. The rain also caused asphalt in one neighborhood to buckle, making the road dangerous to travel on. Meanwhile, traffic was bumper-to-bumper on the Saw Mill Parkway, Cross County Parkway and Hutchinson River Parkway. One driver even had to be rescued from a vehicle as three feet of water rose around it.
Homeowners say they are battered by the storms, which follow a tornado. They hope Mother Nature will soon let up.
