Beaches along the Hudson River will reopen for swimming.
The Westchester County Health Department lifted its swimming advisory for beaches along the Hudson River.
The advisory was put in place earlier this week during sewer main repairs on a break in Tarrytown.
The repairs were done Wednesday, and the Health Department lifted the advisory the next day after looking at the results of water samples.
Some athletes who were training earlier this week for the September Lighthouse Swim from Nyack to Sleepy Hollow were upset because the advisory prevented them from training for the event.
Croton Point Beach and Phillipse Manor Beach will be open for swimming.
