More than 50 Westchester police precincts, emergency services and fire companies responded to a different call Monday to help a special bunch of kids have a great Christmas.
It came as part of the third-annual Good Night Lights event organized by Westchester County police, where a community banded together to light up the night sky.
"It's a joy to bring everyone together to brighten their spirits and bring some smiles to the patients that are inside," says Sgt. Jim Dress.
With such a heavy year nearly in the rearview, it was even more important to give some joy to sick kids in the Hudson Valley.
"We certainly are treating the sickest children in the Hudson Valley and certainly the support has a tremendous impact on them," says Maria Fareri Children's Hospital Vice President of Nursing Nicole Lucas.
