Westchester County is helping high school seniors shine on their prom day.
Yonkers Women in Law Enforcement held the Madrina's Closet event, giving students the chance to come in and choose clothes on display to take home for free.
Organizers say yesterday's event aimed to assist the families of high school seniors facing financial struggles.
"We started with just reaching out to the schools in Yonkers, and now we reach out to schools all over in the top of the Bronx and Riverdale, further up into Westchester," one organizer stated. "We invited as many of you as possible to come down, whether it's to donate or pick up a dress of your own and, you know, don't miss out on your special day because you can't afford it."
If you missed the event, you have another chance to shop next Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
