Every December, children send their Christmas wish list to Santa. This time of year, however, Westchester County officials send their wish list to Albany. On Monday afternoon, the Westchester County Board approved a list of 18 issues they want the state Legislature to act on. One of the top priorities is additional state aid for the Westchester Medical Center. The wish list also includes a request for tougher laws for under age drinking. The move is in response to a series of highly publicized teen drinking incidents around the county. Traditionally county legislators and the county executive take the wish list to Albany and personally deliver it to state lawmakers. That trip is expected to take place later this week.
