Thirty Westchester County officers were presented with awards for bravery, exceptional police work and lifesaving tactics on Friday.
A distinguished service medal and combat cross were presented to a special response team during the event.
The team was awarded for the courage they displayed while responding to a man in an emotional crisis who repeatedly fired at them while barricaded inside his Cortlandt home on September 12, 2022.
